The programme
Two blocks, narrative and documentary
Not everything made that semester plays. The class watches the finished films and votes on which ones advance, so what you see is the work the filmmakers themselves put forward.
The ballot
You are the jury
Every seat gets a ballot. Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography and the rest are decided by the room, not by a panel.
The room
General admission
All 76 places are unassigned, so come early if you want a particular seat.
Afterwards
Meet whoever made it
Filmmakers who can be there stay to talk about how a shot got made. Ask them.
